Brian Edwards, owner of Rocklands Entertainment, was first introduced to the legendary WILF CARTER by Country Music Queen Kitty Wells and her husband Johnny Wright. In fact it was Johnny who encouraged Wilf to come back out on the road and do “a few more concert dates” and to work with Rocklands Entertainment in order to make this happen. Our first concert dates with Wilf (who was also known in the USA as “Montana Slim”) were billed as his 80th Birthday Tour and took place in 1980. Each year from 1980 to 1985 he would tour a section of Canada where adoring fans came out to see him one more time. Wilf Carter was a man known for his honesty, integrity, and professionalism. We are honoured to also be able to say that he was our friend. May his music live on forever.
